Class Charts

Class Charts is our student tracking system which provides a fantastic mechanism for you to be kept up to date with behaviour, attendance, homework completion and generic issues of your child. It is used by our staff to record positive points for our students, any concerns that staff may have and set homework. It is the praise points on this system that we use to track and monitor the positive contribution your child makes to school life, which also then gives us the information we need for our awards system. We encourage you as parents to log in to see information throughout your child's time at Mangotsfield School. You can access Class Charts via the app or the Class Charts website. This also means you can see what homework they have been set, when it is due and if it has been completed.

Should you require support in accessing your Class Charts account please contact  hoh-admin@cset.co.uk with your query and a member of staff will be in touch with you.

Please see the below document for guidance on using the Class Charts parent account:

There is also a short video on how to log in which can be found on our Youtube channel.

 Information sharing

  • We will also use this portal to communicate when students reach particular award thresholds and, if detentions are set.
  • Please remember that Mangotsfield School holds same day detentions for particular behaviours and this includes detention after school until 3.45. The school does not require parental permission. For year 7 Disruption to learning (RTL) detentions will be starting from the 8th September with routines detentions starting from 1st October.

If your child receives a negative or a detention is set you may feel the need to contact the school or your child - please don’t! The reality is staff will be busy teaching, in meetings or supporting students.Your child’s mentor should always be your first point of contact for any concerns you have. Meanwhile your child's phone should be off as phone calls can distract  or even undermine the school expectations. Rest assured if it is urgent we will contact you.

Praises and opportunities

We hope you enjoy seeing the positive points on Class Charts. There is so much to celebrate and acknowledge with our students, we have an established way of celebrating success in assemblies and in our Strong Roots sessions. As a school we continue to try and improve and there will be some opportunities later in the year for your child to get involved in some leadership opportunities so that they can have a say and to help develop their ideas on improving the school and put them into action.
