Class Charts

Class Charts is the awards and behaviour tracking system used by our staff to record praise and positive points for our students, along with any concerns that staff may have. Class Charts is accessible for parents who can see information  via the app or the Class Charts website.

Detention System

We will use this portal to communicate when students reach particular award thresholds and, if detentions are set.

If your child receives a negative or a detention is set you may feel the need to contact the school or your child - please don’t! The reality is staff will be busy teaching, in meetings or supporting students. Meanwhile your child's phone should be off and phone calls can distract  or even undermine the school expectations. Rest assured if it is urgent we will contact you. 

Please remember that Mangotsfield School holds same day detentions for particular behaviours and this includes detention after school until 4.00pm. The school does not require parental permission. Thank you in advance for your support as we continue to raise expectations of our students in both the classroom and around the school.

 Only a small percentage of our students ever receive detentions however, we feel it is important all parents are aware of how we are continuing to raise expectations so all students can benefit. 

 

Praises and opportunities 

 We hope you enjoy seeing the positive points on Class Charts. There is so much to celebrate and acknowledge with our students, we have already begun doing this in assemblies and Strong Roots. Additionally we are excited to be discussing rewards and awards at our new Student Parliament and will update parents with the students’ thoughts and ideas. We are really excited to help develop their ideas and put them into action.
