Catch up Funding
The government provides additional funding for all students who are eligible for the Pupil Premium. These are students who are entitled to Free School Meals, or have been in the last six years; children in care or children of services personnel. If you think your child may be eligible for this funding more information can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/apply-free-school-meals
In addition, for 2020-21, the government has pledged £1 billion nationally to help catch up lost time from school closures due to Covid-19. This will work out at approximately £80 per student, with provision expected to be available from Spring 2021. As part of our ongoing teaching we are working to identify the students in greatest need of provision and the gaps in skills and knowledge they need plugging. This funding replaces the Literacy and Numeracy Catch-Up Funding for this year.
